A fanlisting is a place for all the fans of a particular topic to come together
and build the biggest listing of people all around the world who are fans of

What is Winamp and what are Winamp Skins?
Winamp is a proprietary media player written by Nullsoft, now a subsidiary of Time Warner. It is skinnable, multi-format freeware / shareware. It allows for listening to music and watching videos and movies.
Winamp skins are aesthetic revisions of the graphical user interface of Winamp. Winamp has published documentation on skin creation, and invites contributors to publish skins on Winamp.com. Winamp 5.0 supports "classic" skins designed to Winamp 2 specifications, and "modern" skins per the Winamp3 specification. Modern skins support alpha channels, a docked toolbar, and other innovations to the GUI, but many skins found on Winamp.com still remain committed to the "classic" skin specification. Online communities of skin designers, such as 1001 Winamp Skins and DeviantArt, and the active forums on Winamp.com attest to the popularity of the feature and its flexibility as a medium for creative expression. As the number of independently produced works has increased, genre styles or categories of skins have emerged. Promoting celebrities, fashion models, films, cars, bands, brands, and other forms of entertainment remains a common staple of the medium. Artists have also created designs for their own sake: parodies of other interfaces, nostalgic emulations of old hardware and operating systems, hand drawn art, 3-dimension renderings employing transparencies, minimalist and high contrast designs, and clever implementations of vector graphics.
Why the fanlisting?
I don't remember when or how I came about the winamp player. I just remember that ever since I've been using winamp and no other music player. I think winamp is the coolest and best player for the computer. I just love going to the winamp website and checking out all the cool skins out there. I love downloading them and using them on my winamp. I have so many that I've downloaded and I change the look of my winamp constantly. There are a few though that I absolutely love and use alot more than the others. I have always wanted to do a winamp skin fanlisting because I love skinning. I find making different layouts for a fanlisting fascinating. I saw that there was already a fanlisting for winamp skins so I did not create one but thought about adopting the fanlisting if it were to ever be put up for adoption. I happened to check the adoption forum at TFL and noticed it up for adoption and immediately applied for it. To my surprise I found an email the next day saying I was approved for it. I was so excited. Now I've created the fanlisting.
Version 1 of Skinned was made by me using Paint Shop Pro 7, Microsoft Paint, and Notepad. The fonts used in the layout were default with my computer and the images used was found at the official Winamp website.
