Air Bud: Golden Receiver is the second movie in the series about a sport playing golden retriever. This movie features the dog playing football.
In this sequel Josh Framm's wonder dog Buddy is up to his old tricks when he breaks into the court of a pro basketball game the Framm family is attending. After seeing Buddy play basketball on TV, two animal "collectors" decide he would be the perfect star attraction for their fledgling Moscow circus - and make a plan to kidnap him.
Buddy, meanwhile, has taken up football after he is given a ball to play with by the town vet, who is courting Josh's widowed mother. Josh must deal with his mother's new life, while the school football team badly needs Buddy's help.
